This year’s CECU Annual Convention takes place online and in-person at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, TX, and the line-up includes an interactive, online session by Ambassador Education Solutions. “Aligning Your Systems to Simplify Course Materials Delivery and Access” will explore the roles of a school’s SIS, LMS, CMS (Content Management System) and publisher platforms in the course materials process and how they can work together, making it easier for students to obtain their materials and schools to streamline operations.
Leaders from Ambassador will share trends, pose questions and highlight experiences from working with numerous colleges and universities over the years. They will take a look at what happens when a school’s systems are put to work outside of their comfort zones, talk about integration strategies, and review ways to avoid adding pressure to a school’s already stressed IT infrastructure, especially as things like Inclusive Access and digital materials grow in popularity.
“Managing and providing access to digital content from various publishers and platforms is not an easy task as school’s internal systems weren’t necessarily built to handle these functions. When you add in the necessary controls to track usage and keep schools from overpaying for content, the process is further complicated. There is an easier way,” said Steven M. Blicht. “Similar to how technologies like Apple TV streamline access to TV networks, movie streaming services and apps all in one place, imagine a school’s systems doing the same for all of a student’s content and course materials – easing access, simplifying integrations and verifying fees. It’s a powerful approach.”
Registered attendees, regardless if attending the CECU Convention online or in-person, can tune in to Ambassador’s recorded session through the CECU Convention portal. The event runs June 14th -16th.
